Summer Transfer Window

The Premier League summer transfer window 2026 has already produced some of the biggest transfer fees the competition has ever seen. And there’s still time on the clock before deadline day arrives.

The summer transfer window opened on June 15 and closes on September 1 at 11 pm UK time, giving all 20 Premier League clubs a set period to finish their business. Some clubs, like Chelsea and Manchester City, have broken their own transfer record to land new signings. Others have kept their 2026 summer transfers simple, filling gaps with free transfers and loan moves instead.

In this article, we break down every Premier League transfer and done deal, club by club, so that you can follow the summer transfer window from start to finish.

The Biggest Deals of the 2026 Summer Transfer Window So Far

Morgan Rogers holds the title of the most expensive transfer of the window. Chelsea paid Aston Villa £117m for the forward, a fee that broke the transfer record for a British-based deal this summer.

Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson isn’t far behind, with Manchester City paying £116m to bring the midfielder to the Etihad. Tottenham Hotspur have been busy too, agreeing a club-record £100m fee with Newcastle United for Sandro Tonali and adding Mateus Fernandes from West Ham for £85m.

Arsenal paid £75m for Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes, while Barcelona has taken two Premier League players north, Rodri from Manchester City for £65.4m and Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for £69.3m.

Real Madrid have also been shopping in the Premier League, agreeing a £51.8m deal to sign Marc Cucurella from Chelsea. Manchester United raided both Chelsea and Aston Villa for midfield cover, paying £50m for Andrey Santos and £35m for Youri Tielemans. Free transfers have shaped plenty of squads too.

Jordan Henderson left Brentford for Chelsea on a free transfer; Karl Darlow moved from Leeds United to Manchester United on a free transfer; Illan Meslier joined Arsenal from Leeds United on a free transfer; and Marcos Senesi moved from Bournemouth to Tottenham Hotspur after his contract ended.

A number of this summer’s biggest fees picked up pace after the World Cup, as strong performances at the tournament pushed several players’ price tags even higher.

What Happens Next Before Deadline Day

The summer transfer window stays open until September 1 at 11 pm UK time. Premier League clubs can register any completed signing with the league right up until that deadline. Clubs that still need defensive or attacking cover tend to leave their biggest business until the final week, so more deals will be done before the window shuts.

Loan deals involving Premier League clubs can still be arranged after the deadline for clubs outside England, since some European leagues have different transfer windows. New deals are being confirmed across the Premier League every day between now and deadline day, so check back on this page as more transfers get done and all 20 Premier League clubs finish shaping their squads for the season ahead.

Reported transfer fees in this article, including for Bruno Guimaraes, Ezri Konsa, and other deals, may include add-on payments tied to appearances, trophies, or future sales. Actual fees can shift slightly as clubs confirm final terms.
